TRACK & FIELD REGISTRATION

Registration for the 2021 Track & Field season is OPEN!

Please click here to register.

How to Register

NEW FOR THIS YEAR! We are using Sports Engine for registration and you will need to either log in or create an account prior to registering your athlete. If you do not already have a Sports Engine account, we suggest creating one now by clicking here to make registration day faster and easier. Please note that you will need to add family members when you begin the registration process on Saturday.

USATF/Race Age

When you register, you will need to select your child's race age. Your child's age as of Dec. 31, 2021  (not necessarily their age today) is considered their race age for the calendar year. Example: If your child is turning 11 on Nov. 30, 2021, their race age is 11 even though their actual age throughout the Track &  Field season will be 10.

If you have already created or renewed your athlete's USATF membership for 2021, we recommend you have the number available during registration. If you have not completed this task yet, you can do it anytime before the first practice by visiting www.usatf.org.

Registration Group Options

NEW FOR THIS YEAR! This season, we will be offering registration options to include standard age groups, distance, and throwing only options.

  • Age Groups: For standard Track & Field athletes who wish to focus on running, please register using your child's age group. While these age groups will focus on running, they will still have an opportunity to participate in field events like throwing and jumps if they are interested.

  • Distance: For those interested in a focus on distance running, please register using the distance option. Please note that an assessment will be required for the distance team.

  • Throws: The throws specific training group will be focused specifically on field throwing events at their practices, but will still have the option to participate in running events. If your athlete may not want to run, but wants to focus on throwing, please sign up in this group.

New and Returner

The Walton-Pope Running Club recognizes new athletes as those that have never participated with the club or haven't been a member since 2019 or before. Returning runners are those athletes that participated in 2020 Track & Field and/or 2020 Cross Country. During registration, you will need to select if your athlete is new or returning.

Wait List

Though we have added more openings for the season, please note that our team roster often fills up quickly. Registration for each group will close once spots are filled and a wait list will be available. If your athlete's chosen group doesn't appear on the screen during registration, please click on the appropriate wait list and add your child's information. Depending on the number of coaches we have, we will pull from the wait list as many athletes as we can safely accommodate.
