Spring Track & Field
Season
The Walton Youth Track Club is a track and field club
for girls and boys ages 5 to 15 which participates in
Northwest Georgia Youth Track League, AAU, and USATF
sanctioned meets. No prior experience with running
competitively is required to participate on the WYTC
team.
Our program is designed to introduce kids to sprint
and distance running and field events by providing an
experience that is fun, competitive, social, and
informative about the sport.

Practice for the Spring 2008 track and field season
began on Sunday March 2, 2008, with registration and
the pre-season shoe sale at the "Big Peach Running
Co." store at 1062 Johnson Ferry Road in East
Cobb.
Regular track and field practices occur at the Sope
Creek Elementary School and the Sope Creek NRA trails
on Tuesday (6:00 to 7:15 p.m.) and Thursday (6:00 to
7:15 p.m.) evenings and at the Walton High School track
on Sunday (4:00 to 5:30 p.m.) afternoons. Our club will
participate in at least five track and field meets
which will take place on Saturdays during April and
May.
